Our innovative patent of the Conveyor Pulley Electric Generator was issued in July 2022, which marks a significant milestone in sustainable energy for mining operations. The invention harnesses the motion of moving conveyor belts to generate electricity, providing a green-alternative to traditional power sources.
With a keen focus on energy efficiency, our technology is designed to seamlessly integrate into existing systems, enabling business to reduce reliance on their main utility grid. Our commitment lies in empowering workspaces with renewable solutions that are both cost effective and environmentally responsible.
The CPEG works on the principle of low torque and high speed from a moving conveyor belt which is the primary mover. Low kilowatts are absorbed from the electrical motors during start-up of a conveyor belt and during electrical loads.
The unit uses conveyor belt speed and power transferred through a series of gear ratios for the required shaft rotation.
The product is a low-tension pulley which is adaptable for either a tail pulley or a return snub pulley. Conveyor Pulley Electric Generator units are selected in accordance with design of minimum pulley diameters in group C which, is up to 30% of maximum permissible conveyor belt breaking strength in kilo Newtons.

Remotely controlled the Conveyor Pulley Electric Generator can produce an electrical current of up to 150 Kilovolt-amperes which is suitable for powering up nearby establishments and, illumination for night operations whilst charging emergency battery back-up systems.
The concept is thus to minimize high utility costs and consumables by using existing kinetic energy without pollution. Any unused energy generated is automatically relayed to the battery back-up system. When in rotation the conveyor pulley electric generator continuously generates an electrical current which is distributed via automatic transfer switches.
During maintenance, the CPEG units can easily be serviced in position when changing oil and air filters. The expected service will be between 10 and 15 years if scheduled and properly kept.
No extra space or modifications is needed as the CPEG unit serves as a pulley to divert conveyor belt direction while generating an electrical current.
The CPEG is made with material which is practically one hundred percent recyclable.
